On amazing artwork. Iceland Poppy. Wabi-Sabi. Fiction.
Okay…this goes in my “Gems found upon Perusing the Web” file. I love cruising along the world wide web and collecting posts, or excerpts from posts that are worth saving.
I came across this beauty today. What intense detail and vibrancy!!!!???? And with colored pencils??? Absolutely amazing. And then I read about the artist’s love for wabi – sabi. Resonated.
Morrison mentions Wabi Sabi…Now, that happens to be my thing – or at least one of them. I am intrigued by the incomplete and the moment.
And that – the intentionally incomplete – the beauty of the moment – definitely influences my work.
The project I’m currently putting together is creating a ‘novel’ way to present a collection of fiction I have written. The Wabi Sabi ideals and the importance of ‘the moment’ definitely play a role in my trying to create a ‘unique’ way to share this fiction project ‘in the worx’.
Long story…and complicated…but what isn’t????
